Description
Xiaomi Smart Camera C301
The C301 is a smart home security camera with 2K video, dual-axis pan-tilt control, local AI human detection, encrypted connectivity, and flexible cloud or microSD storage.
Privacy and security
- Physical lens shielding — The lens retracts upward into the body for hardware privacy when not in use.
- MJA1 security chip — Unique key and credentials for finance-grade protection of data communication and storage.
- Encryption — Fully encrypted data transmission, AES-128 encryption for cloud data, and customisable sleep time.
Video quality
3MP sensor at 2304×1296 resolution for 2K images with finer detail. Large aperture and 4P lens reduce light refraction for clearer, more lifelike picture.
Coverage and control
Dual gimbals driven from your smartphone allow pan-tilt movement in any direction:
- 360° horizontal view
- 107° vertical view
Two-way audio
Real-time two-way voice calls with about 5-meter sound pickup range (lab-derived; actual range varies by environment). Calls are initiated from a phone. Large-diameter speaker with separate sound cavity and intelligent noise-cancelling microphone supports loud, clear remote conversation.
Night vision
- Full colour night vision — High-sensitivity sensor retains colour in low light for longer periods.
- Enhanced infrared — Six built-in infrared illuminators capture clear images in darkness without visible red glow.
Alerts and playback
Local AI-based human detection runs on-device without cloud processing for faster, more accurate person alerts sent to your smartphone. Review footage via timeline with date select, zoom, event filter, and variable-speed playback.
Recordings require paid cloud storage or a microSD card (not included).
Voice assistants
Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant (e.g. “OK Google, turn on the camera” / “Alexa, turn on the camera”). A compatible Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled device is required; availability varies by language and region.
Mounting and storage
Supports flat and inverted mounting; rotate the image in the Xiaomi Home app when ceiling-mounted. Storage options:
- microSD — 8GB to 256GB supported (card not included; may require formatting with the camera).
- Cloud storage — Optional subscription capacity.
Set up and view through the Mi Home app on Android and iOS.
