Speed
USB 3.0 to SATA III adapter with up to 5 Gbps external transfer. UASP and TRIM help SSDs perform up to about 70% faster than traditional HDD-style USB transfers when host, drive, and system all support UASP.
Operation
- Plug and play; no drivers on supported systems
- Hot-swap supported—swap drives without shutting down the laptop
- 2.5″ drives need no extra power; 3.5″ drives require the included 12 V / 2 A adapter (DC jack on cable)
- Connect drive to adapter, power if needed, then USB to the computer; eject safely before disconnecting power and USB

Not for Blu-ray, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD+RW combo optical drives.
