Description
UGreen HDMI to VGA with Audio Converter (40248)
Active adapter with built-in chipset converts HDMI digital output to VGA analog for displays and projectors. Signal flow is one-way only: HDMI source to VGA display—not bi-directional.
Video and audio
- Resolution — Up to 1920×1080 @ 60 Hz (max on VGA video output).
- 3.5 mm line-out — Separate audio jack so VGA video can be paired with speakers or a TV via a 3.5 mm audio cable (sold separately).
Power
A micro USB cable is included for optional supplemental power when the HDMI source cannot supply enough power—examples include Mac Mini (2014), Android Smart TV Box, MacBook Pro with Retina Display, Smart TV Box, and Raspberry Pi. Connect the micro USB cable to a power adapter or a PC USB port. For MacBook Pro with Retina Display, Smart TV Box, Raspberry Pi, and similar low-power HDMI ports, the included micro USB cable is required.
Compatibility
HDMI sources such as Apple TV, PC, laptop, ultrabook, Raspberry Pi, Chromebook, MacBook, Roku streaming media player, and Smart TV Box can drive projectors, displays, LCD panels, TVs, and monitors with VGA input. A VGA male-to-male cable (sold separately) is needed to the display.
Important notes
- Not bi-directional; does not convert VGA sources to HDMI.
- HDCP compliant adapter does not support HDCP-protected content from devices such as Blu-ray players, PS3, and PS4.
- Raspberry Pi users may need to edit config.txt and reboot.
