Compatibility
Suitable for PC, laptop, Ultrabook, Raspberry Pi, Chromebook, MacBook Pro, Intel Nuc, Roku streaming media player, Smart Android TV Box, and other devices with an HDMI interface. Use only with HDCP-compatible sources; not for HDCP-protected content.
Signal and resolution
- Chipset converts HDMI male (digital) to VGA female (analogue)
- One-direction only: HDMI to VGA — does not convert VGA to HDMI
- Supports connection to VGA monitors and projectors up to 1080p
- Video via VGA: up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz
- VGA carries video only; a 3.5 mm audio jack on the adapter lets you route sound to a TV or external speaker with a separate 3.5 mm audio cable
Power
Includes Micro USB for supplemental power, useful for low-output HDMI devices such as Mac Mini 2014, Raspberry Pi, and Smart Android TV Box. For Raspberry Pi, you may need to edit and restart config.txt.
