Description
UGREEN CM493 AC1300 Dual Band USB WiFi Adapter
The CM493 adds AC1300 dual-band WiFi to desktop PCs via USB 3.0, with adjustable 5dBi antennas for extended range and optional Soft AP hotspot mode.
Speed and bands
- Combined: up to 1300Mbps (UGREEN lab tested; real-world speed varies by environment)
- 5GHz: up to 867Mbps
- 2.4GHz: up to 400Mbps
Use a USB 3.0 port for maximum speed. Avoid sharing the 2.4GHz/5GHz band with other wireless devices on the same frequency to reduce interference.
Range and stability
Two adjustable 5dBi high-gain antennas support coverage up to 50m with no walls; signal can cross two walls and remain stable.
Modes
Station Mode and Soft AP can run together—turn a wired PC into a WiFi hotspot for additional clients.
Compatibility and setup
Works with Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7 (not supported on MacBook). Windows 11 and 10 are driver-free plug-and-play. Other Windows versions may need a driver from the installation manual (PDF) in product guides if no CD drive is available.
For stability, do not connect the adapter through a hub or extension cable.
